The use of AVO (Amplitude variation Versus Offset) and inversion techniques helps to create the best possible petrophysics subsurface model. The seismic inversion brings the seismic AVO attributes over to physical properties that can be compared directly with the well log data. This combination of AVO analysis and seismic inversion gives new possibilities for fluid detection and lithology prediction.
